Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire, attended a lunch hosted by the Royal Bank of Scotland for South Staffordshire businesses.
Gavin had the opportunity to meet people from local businesses to discuss issues and challenges that they may be facing and what more the government can do to support community businesses to grow and develop.
Issues that were raised ranged from transport to training of young people, ensuring that employees have the right skills in order to facilitate their own personal development and that of the companies.
Amongst the attendees were business owners and Directors from across South Staffordshire including Essington, Seisdon, Wombourne and Great Wyrley.
After his visit Gavin said: “I would like to thank RBS for hosting this lunch and enabling a great opportunity to meet business owners and hear about issues they might be facing.
“I had such an interesting time meeting all the attendees from across South Staffordshire and hearing about their varied experiences working in the business sector. It is important that we do everything we can to support our community businesses and encourage them to grow and develop.”
