Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire, attended the Perton Carnival on Monday.
Gavin had his own stall at the annual event, which was held at Perton Middle School for the first time, this year.
The carnival featured a vast range of activities, including magic shows, ATC displays, climbing walls, face painting, classic cars, craft stalls, fairground rides, a bouncy castle and a carnival procession.
As well as meeting residents at his own stall, Gavin helped out on the Win a Bottle stand, selling raffle tickets.
Gavin also went with MEP Anthea McIntyre to view the carnival procession, which set off from Perton library around 12 midday and went all the way round the Parkway, with Carnival Queen being driven in a classic Morris Minor convertible.
Gavin said: “It was wonderful to meet all the visitors and other stall holders at the carnival. I was extremely impressed by the range of entertainment on offer and, with the size of the crowds, I think it must have been the most popular carnival yet.
“I also particularly enjoyed watching the carnival procession and getting the opportunity to see a Morris Minor convertible, as I am a massive fan of classic cars.”
