Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire, attended the Pattingham Club Grand Opening, over the weekend.
Gavin gave a brief address in support of the launch event, which took place from 3pm on Saturday 8th March.
The former Working Men’s Club has been re-opened following a major refurbishment, costing in excess of £70,000.
The new look club features improved facilities and is designed to attract new, younger members and their families.
On the occasion, Gavin said: “The Pattingham Club is a wonderful organisation, which plays an extremely important role in our community.
“I was extremely impressed by the results of the recent refurbishment and to helping celebrate the beginning of a new phase in the life of this local institution.”
Long term trustee Norman Bramall cut the ribbon during the official opening ceremony, at 3.15pm.
A special ‘Pottery Party’, provided by ‘The Hive’ in Codsall, was held for any young children present. The resultant tile art will be used to make a collage to commemorate the opening.
